
On May 1, 2013, the Oro Valley Town Council adopted a public participation plan for its General Plan update. The stakeholder list identified OVBC among organizations representing small-business interests.
A Place in the Public Conversation
The plan grouped OVBC with the Chamber of Commerce, major employers, development organizations, builders, neighborhoods, nonprofits, and schools. Inclusion established that the Club was recognized as a channel for reaching local owners and professionals.
Land use, transportation, infrastructure, and development shape the conditions under which businesses invest. An organization serves owners when it makes those decisions visible and creates a route into the discussion, while leaving final judgment to each individual.
